b'Dear friends and partners,Look around you. Listen to the chatter online or in the news. Think back to recent conversations you may have had with friends or family. Have you noticed what Ive noticed?By and large, there is a tendency to believe that positive, truly transformative changeis impossible. While I understand that the worlds complexity can be daunting and our systems heavily burdened, I feel so encouragedand genuinely excitedby what I see happening at Cone Health. Our care providers are energized by the opportunity to do amazing things for health in our community. When they learn of a new innovation, they pursue it. When they recognize socioeconomic, environmental and behavioral threats to health, they set out to mitigate them. With the support of others in the community, theyre getting results. At Cone Health, we possess not only the empathy, knowledge, innovation and teamwork to improve the health of our communities but also the platform to convene the partners we need to get it done. Let me give you one example. With school-based telehealth, we embarked on an ambitious mission: to establish clinics in all 51 Targeted High Poverty Schools in Guilford County. Collaboration with Guilford County Schools and The Duke Endowment enabled us to initiate a pilot project at Bessemer Elementary, a school with the highest absentee rate. In less than two years, we have expanded to nine schools and will add seven more for the 2024-25 school year. We are making significant progress toward achieving what might have initially seemed impossibleand absenteeism has decreased.o2 o3 o6 o8A place ofA record-breakingTransformingLooking out for celebrationyearoutcomesthe underdogsA message from As our momentum builds,Successes, updates andMandy and Michael Eaton Michelle Schneider your impact grows. celebrationsturn grief into action, and Cone Health stands with them.bCone Health Philanthropy'
