Both Carole Simms and Susan Thompson exemplify the meaningful impact of giving in a variety of ways to areas of personal HEALTH EQUITY significance. Recently, both made planned giftscontributions $5,665,300 arranged in the present and allocated at a future date, usually as part of estate plans. Carole, a Cone Health board member for many years, and her husband, John, made a combined cash and planned gift to support the Alight Patient Assistance Fund and the Heart & Vascular building. She is passionate about both cancer care and heart care, as her family has been impacted by both. Her first gift NURTURINGto Cone Health dates back to 1994. ENVIRONMENTS Susans contribution is a three-part gift: a systemwide pledge to Heart & $577,500 Vascular in memory of her husband, Jimmy; a stock gift to the Healing CANCER Gardens at Annie Penn Hospital; and $2,192,000 a planned gift that is unrestricted and will go to the systems area of greatest WOMENS & CHILDRENS need.
