b'In 2019 HIVwe invested $556,041in 6 community partners to support HIV TREATMENT AS PREVENTION. Already, one of our community partners has attained our 6-year strategic goal of achieving 90% viral suppression rates among people living with HIV in Greensboro. This is critical to improving the wellbeing and quality of life of those living with HIV while reducing the likelihood of transmission to uninfected partners.Cone Health Foundation community partners have adopted the evidence-based HIV Treatment as Prevention model. In this model, people living with HIV who take daily antiretroviral therapy as prescribed can achieve and maintain an undetectable viral load (amount of HIV in the blood). This means they have no risk of transmitting HIV to their HIV-negative sexual partners. For people with HIV, getting and staying in medical care, participating in prevention counseling and taking medications as prescribed is vital. Currently, there is no cure for HIV. Treatment is a lifelong process. 14 CONE HEALTH FOUNDATION IMPACT REPORT'
