JESSICA WILSEY still keeps her new 
employee badge close. It marks the day 
a single mom with three kids found both 
stability and a calling. Through Cone 
Health’s accelerated CMA Academy, 
which includes paid training, coaching 
and a clear path to a job, Jessica moved 
from piecing together night shifts to a 
full-time role at LeBauer Primary Care. 
The steady paycheck matters. So does 
the purpose. Every day, she delivers care: 
greeting patients, taking time to listen 
and connecting them to resources that 
keep them well between visits.
