That promise extends to our team members, and we keep it by examining our policies, practices and processes to make sure our team members feel respected, accepted and valued, and they know that they belong. We continue to make strides in this space and are being recognized on a national scale. Our system has been recognized by Triad Business Journal as a Leader in Diversityan award that honors the outstanding organizations that are going above and beyond to bolster equality across all areas of diversity.We were honored to be named one of the Best Employers for Diversity by Forbes 2023. We were ranked in the top 50 on the list of 500 organizations to receive the recognition nationwide. The selection was based on direct recommendations from team members, indirect recommendations from employees across the health care industry and diversity-related best practices.Cone Health works tirelessly to create an environment that respects individuality and where our team members can belong. Our inclusion network groupswhich grew by 190 members in 2023are engaging team members, giving space for their voices to be heard, and giving back in our community.We have been right here with our team members, providing ongoing opportunities to learn more. Over 91% of our team members have completed courses about increasing awareness of bias, bias mitigation and inclusive LGBTQIA+ patient care. We released a new online curriculum with five learning pathways covering topics like health equity, unconscious bias and allyship. We are proud to have developed a new monthly toolthe DEI Leader Toolkitto help leaders have conversations and lead activities related to inclusion. The participation and ratings have been overwhelming each month. One leader shared: I am learning to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. The materials are awesome and encompasses so much more than I originally thought when I first began these sessions. Thank you so much for doing this and providing these tools each month!Cultivating connections through curiosity and conversation has been key to bridging differences. Team members are actively engaged listeners in our monthly Authentic Moments podcast throughout 2023, listening to frank conversations about diversity and inclusion. We received the Ragans Employee Communications Gold Award for the podcast. We continued fascinating discussions in our diversity and inclusion book clubOne Cone One Bookto foster discussions on cultural competency.Our team members are passionate about creating an even more inclusive and equitable culture and are making an impact through their work.
